Brick History comes to Peterborough (and your phone!)

Looking for something to do over the half term break?
Brick History has just opened at the Queensgate shopping centre and what’s more - it’s free to visit until the 20th February!

Not only are there LEGO models to view, showcasing history from the Big Bang to today - but there’s also the chance to get interactive. Pick up a map from the North square display and you too can follow the exhibits around the mall.

For younger visitors there are pages to colour in and for the young at heart some very cool stickers too!

Want more? There’s a fantastic competition to enter too, giving someone the chance to win an exciting *LEGO® bundle! To enter the competition simply:

  • Take a selfie next to one of the LEGO® Brick History exhibits

  • Post your photo on Instagram or Facebook and include the hashtag #QueensgateBrickHistory in your post (each post shared with the hashtag will be counted as one entry)

The winner will be randomly selected and contacted via direct message on Monday 21st February. Full terms and conditions can be found on our website at www.queensgate-shopping.co.uk/terms-conditions.

New for 2022, we’re also excited to announce that you can now access much, much more information about each of our models through our digital companion!

When you visit Brick History, use your phone, tablet or console to scan the special codes we’ve attached to each plinth. Either use the QR code or, if you have a compatible device* simply tap it against the sticker! Your phone will unlock the details of each model - how long they took to build, how many bricks we used, our original design sketches and much much more.

We’ve even included some 360 photos and videos too - and if that isn’t enough, there are some downloadable instructions to let you build your own models too!

We’d love to hear what you think of our new digital companion, so make sure to @mention us when you visit Brick History! We’re in the process of rolling this out to all of our tours and we’ve got huge amounts of information we want to share with you. Let us know what interests you the most about our models and we’ll see what we can do!

If you’d like to use one of our popular exhibition tours to add a little extra to your venue, why not get in touch?

*Pretty much any device that supports contactless payments such as Apple Pay or Google Pay should work. Make sure you have ‘ NFC’ enabled first, your phone may need to be unlocked before you tap.
