Set-up:
Put up the fabric backdrop - standard Modulate fabric-sock-over-aluminiuim-frame. Instructions are found here.
Set-up 3 of the 4 wooden walls. The large piece without the logos goes towards the back. The shorter pieces are the sides. The piece with a logo is the front. All staples face INWARDS
Put the rear piece in front of the graphic, on the feet so it is flush with the graphic
Remove the top coping piece on each part to reveal the corner holes. Interlock the rear and side pieces.
Put the 3 pieces together using the metal pins in the corner holes. Mallet into place if necessaryReplace the top coping pieces of wood.
Place Masiakosaurus body into position inside the wooden retaining walls wiuth pallet truck
Attach final side of wooden retaining wall. Use same process as step 5.
Staple Geotext non-woven black fabric to the inside of the wooden retaining walls. Do this at about the top of the wooden plank nearest the floor, so it will be fully hidden once the artificial mulch is in place. Cut access in the fabric run that goes across Masiakosaurus pallet base so the fabric goes over the top of the metal base and hides it.
insert Masoiakosaurus tail into the hole on its bum. This is a very tight fit. at least 2 person job. 1 Person pushing tail into place by rocking it & pushing it. Other person: Place a towel or rug between your shoulder and Masiakosaurs’ chest and provide resistance for trial to be pushed into place (this will prevent you getting bruised and cut by the corners of the LEGO bricks, no joke.) Place tail support metal pole under lowest point of the tail and adjust height as necessary to close gap between tail and back. If necessary, a water based lubricant can help (do not use mineral oils)
Put artificial mulch into the enclosure. Use it all. Distribute it to suitably camouflage the metal base of the Masiakosaurus . Use it to represent a natural forest floor with natural unevenness.
Place PIR speaker in a position that it will be triggered when visitors come to see the model. Ensure you can access a power socket for the speaker. Check the trigger and volume on the speaker & set to desired level.
Place artificial plants throughout the scene to make it look like a natural forest clearing. Use them to camouflage the speaker, metal under the models’ legs & tail etc, but be careful not to cover the speakers’s sensor.
Venue are responsible for lighting.
