Brick Dinos - Plesiosaur

Components:

  • Plesiosaur

  • Fabric floor covering (printed as bottom of the sea)

  • LEGO-built rock posts x4

  • Absolute barrier elastic

  • Loose LEGO bricks

  • PIR Speaker

  • Gobo Projector x2

  • All stored in Plesiosaur flightcase

Set-up:

  1. Unpack all items

  2. Check location for projectors. If this is overhead the model, it may be easier to install these now.

  3. Place Plesiosaur body on floor in desired location.

  4. Place fabric floor covering so the hole goes over the model’s metal base.

  5. Add model’s head and hump.

  6. Place LEGO-built rock posts at each corner and feed Absolute Barrier elastic through the slits in the rock tops if using.

  7. Scatter loose LEGO bricks over the fabric and base of the model to give a natural sea bed look. Use as much as makes it look good.

  8. 2x projectors have water effect gobo, so position this to wash the whole model.

  9. 1x projector has the interpretation text, so position this to be legible on the wall or floor as appropriate.

  10. Place PIR speaker so it will be triggered when visitors approach the model. Ensure you have access to a power socket and plug in the speaker.

  11. Turn on and set volume as desired.

  12. Venue are responsible for other lighting.


Other notes:

  • Use flight case for storage of items during the run of the exhibition.

  • This exhibit can also be setup in other ways, as per the picture at the top. Discuss with venue the best way to do this.
