Our response to the Coronavirus, particularly our touring exhibitions.

Brick Wonders

At The Atkinson, Southport. July 2020

It’s been a challenging month for us all here.

With staff furloughed to ensure a safe office environment, many projects have had to be put on hold. Similarly impacted have of course been all of our touring exhibitions. With the UK on lockdown, it has been simply impossible to collect or deliver exhibitions as we have previously done.

During this challenging time we have been keeping in touch with all of our customers and suppliers on a regular basis. We’ve been working together to see what route there is, back to some semblance of normality. We know that this crisis will pass - but when restrictions are eased we also know that we must maintain a safe environment for both our staff and visitors.

Talking about the situation over the last couple of weeks, it became apparent that our experience in both touring exhibitions and extremely large events could be put to good use. Whilst the build of a 30,000 square meter exhibition space might not seem relatable to a local museum - in these strange times, the logistic challenges are not too dissimilar.

As we face these all challenges together it would be wrong not to share whatever we can, so I’ve written a white paper on ‘Social Distancing in Touring Exhibitions’. This documents not only the new procedures we are putting in place - but also best practise guidance we’ve gathered from around the sector. It’s available now as a free download from the link below:

2020 is going to be a tough year for us all, but we will get through it. Please stay safe,

Warren

From Warren Elsmore Ltd specifically

We’re very pleased to have recently (October 2020) been granted Arts Council England funding to put more of our COVID19 secure measures in place. This will mean that, as in the Leicester installation above - we will be able to provide social distancing walling to all of our exhibitions at no extra charge. In addition, we will be able to professionally sanitise our exhibitions and research into anti-viral coatings.

We have also launched our COVID-19 guarantee for all our customers. This means that should you need to interrupt your hire (or cancel it altogether) then we will do everything we can to help you out. You can download our guarantee from this link.

We will update this page with more details as we have them.
