Temporary Walling Setup Instructions

Each of our tours comes with temporary walling. This is easy to erect, but time consuming. Please see below for the official instructions. A few notes;

Transit

  • To convert the walling box from pallet to/from trolley, stand on the foot pedal on the short ends of the pallet. If the box is full - this will require some weight (or slight ‘hop)’).

  • To release the straps, pull the green arrow marked ‘release’ and the strap will be loosened. Once disconnected, it will roll back into the lid

  • The top tray and upmost pallet collar can then be removed to gain access to the frames.

  • DO NOT cut the banding.

Installation

  • All of our walling is either 1024 straight, or 2024 straights. This means you MUST use the 0.4m extension sections

  • Do not pull the graphics over the square corners too hard. If possible, use 1 person on each corner. If not, alternate between corners - but do not slide either side of the sleeve more than 0.25m at a time.

  • Some tours do use 1/2 height sections for information around interactive areas. These assemble in a very similar way to the below

  • Unless notified on installation, all fabric will be deemed to be in a good condition and clean.

  • Cables can be run inside the walling if necessary. To do this, open the bottom zip fully. Insert the cable from the end with the zip, then close the zip around the bottom bar and cable. Tuck the cable inside as you do up the zip. Do NOT put any connectors of any sort inside the walling.

  • Once the box is empty, replace lid and re-strap. The yellow handle acts as a ratchet.

Maintenance

  • The walls should require no maintenance. However, if they are soiled - they can be cleaned in a normal domestic washing machine at 30 degrees and hung to dry. Once dry they can be re-fitted.

When dismantaling, please note;

  • Fabrics should be removed carefully, as they were applied.

  • All 1 meter wide fabrics store inside the bag (in the upper layer)

  • All 2 meter fabrics store in the tray at the top of the walling box.

  • Any dirty fabrics should be cleaned and re-stored once dry.

  • DO NOT store wet fabrics.
