Bye-bye Betsy... Hello Mia! (and a competition too)
For the last few years, we've had a dedicated member of team UKLUG, team LEGOShoe and Team WarrenElsmore.com. And now she's... well.. dead.
Betsy Belville (named posthumously in honour of her services to LEGO fandom) was on a routine trip to our warehouse a couple of weeks ago when, to add to the dodgy starter motor, spark plug, heating fan, windscreen wiper, front shocks, leaky radiator, loose front doors (never confirmed by me that one, I blame the driver!) and general rustiness.... she developed a morbid fear of both water and the dashboard indicators to show that there was anything wrong. Cue engine seizure and, well, complete failure.
Betsy is no more and will for ever live long in our memories ;-)
Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you her replacement, co-incidentally ordered about 4 months ago (total co-incidence of course - I had no idea Betsy was for the scrappers ;-) )
Please welcome Mia* :-) Fresh from her birthplace in France, Mia is bright and shiny and... well.. black. I'm sure I ordered Grey. Maybe she's very, very, very, very dark grey?
She's not quite ready for the catwalk yet. There's the matter of a tail lift to fit and graphics to apply - but she's on the road and ready to rock. I shall not be buying large Red stripes!
Which brings me to a question. She's going to have some 'WarrenElsmore' graphics on the side, but I also want to put on something that says what I do. 'Author and artist in LEGO bricks' is a bit long - so any other suggestions? LEGO Fair play rules apply of course - so it must not look like it's an official LEGO service or delivery. The winner gets something from the office sent to them. Not sure what! Answers in the comments please or on Facebook!
*Bonus points if you can figure out our van naming scheme. Not many bonus points, mind it's not that complex!
